Parent Teacher Organization
West View’s PTO is dedicated to doing everything in our power to ensure that our children have the best possible year at West View.  Please consider becoming an active participant in the PTO.  It is a great way to meet other parents and to show how important your children’s education is to you.  Also, your children will love it.  With your support, the West View Elementary School PTO will make the 2016-2017 year a wonderful experience for our children!
We invite our families to attend the PTO School Programs.   Look for these dates in the monthly calendars that your child will bring home from the school.
PTO Events and Programs
Fall Fundraiser – Kickoff on October 1st
This is our main fundraiser and you are going to love it!  Since this fundraiser will kick off a start to another successful year, we need for you to consider supporting the product we have chosen for our wildcats and their families.  Look for important information surrounding this fundraiser to come home with your child at the beginning of the year!
Fall Carnival – October 17th
Food, games, rides, silent auction, demonstrations and vendors … fun for the whole family!  Once again, we will be selling armbands for unlimited rides.  So, come on out and celebrate fall at a carnival on the back lawn of school.
Scholastic Book Fairs
West View is proud to offer Scholastic Book Fair.  This is a wonderful opportunity for the children to get into the habit of reading by purchasing their own, age-appropriate books.  Each child will have the chance to visit the fair.  However, the book fair is not limited to children.  Parents are also encouraged to visit and shop.  Who knows, maybe you will find the perfect gift for your perfect child?
General Mills Box Tops & Campbell’s Soup Label Collections
Collect and send in “Box Tops” and Campbell’s/Pepperidge Farm proofs of purchases to earn cash and educational/recreational materials for West View.  Visit to register and West View will earn bonus points.  Use their Box Tops Marketplace to purchase items at your favorite online retailers (Lands End, JC Penney, Gap, Home Depot, etc.) and we earn more bonus points!  Clipping and submitting box tops is an easy way to make hundreds of dollars for your school.
Local Business Programs
Another easy way to financially support your PTO and your school is by registering your frequent shopper cards to West View. All you need to do is visit the customer service desk of your favorite grocery stores and then shop!  Once registered, for every dollar you spend, the store will donate a percentage to West View.  Stores that offer these programs include:

Bi – Lo Bonus Card (West View is 2962),
Ingles “Tools for Schools”
Please note that Bi-Lo and Ingles require that you update your school choice annually.
PTO Family Fun Nights
PTO Family Fun Nights are “fun raisers!”  These monthly events are specifically designed to provide you with an opportunity to enjoy the company of other West View families and to have fun at some of our great local businesses.  OK, the PTO also makes some money from these events, primarily through donations from these businesses.  But, the primary focus is fun.  So, check your school calendar and attend these events.  You will be glad that you did.
Papa John’s Dough for Dollars
Cooking is hard, boring work.  Do yourself a favor and take every 1st Wednesday and Thursday of the month off.  Pick up a pizza from Papa John’s instead.  The 1st Wednesday and Thursday of each month is Papa John’s Dough for Dollars.  Simply purchase dinner at Papa John’s, send in the attached stickers with your child the next day, and West View will receive 15% of your purchase!  Collect and send in stickers from these days from family and colleagues too!
