Message from Principal

Dear Parents and Guardians,

On behalf of the entire faculty and staff of West View Elementary School, I would like to welcome you to our school!   You will find that every member of our school will work hard to make sure your child is loved and cared for while receiving an outstanding education!

West View Elementary School serves a diverse student population in kindergarten through Grade 5.  Our school prides itself in caring for the unique needs of individual students and strives to serve as a safe, individually challenging, and caring environment in which all children will grow academically, physically, and socially.

As your school principal, I have had opportunities to work in public schools with children age three through fifth grade.  Before coming to West View Elementary, I taught third, fourth, and fifth grade students in Spartanburg District Two.  I then served as an assistant principal for nine years in Spartanburg District Six, and most recently served as the principal of the District Six Child Development Center.  These experiences have helped shape my vision for West View Elementary students!

Our faculty and staff realize the importance of your support at home!  After all, your home was your child’s first classroom!  We believe that as parents, school staff, and community work together towards the common goal of providing an exceptional education, students will achieve amazing things, and the entire community will benefit.  West View’s National Blue Ribbon Award is proof of that!

If you have any questions about our school, please feel free to contact our office at (864) 576-1833.  We are pleased that both you and your child will be spending the year with us at West View Elementary!  I look forward to working with you throughout the year!

Respectfully,

Dr. Lindi E. Metcalf,
Principal
